The 62-year-old English singer Ali Campbell is rumored to have married his longtime girlfriend secretly. The couple was said to have an announcement of their engagement, but it seems that they have jumped straight to wedding bliss! As the singer was spotted wearing a new wedding ring earlier this week.
The British singer was married to Bernadette Virtue and had four children before tying the knot with his lover, Juliet Grace Worth, also called Julia Campbell, after marriage. He married Julia in March of 2006 and had two children with her. Their love affair was as realistic as a fairytale. Ali described his love story with Julia as a true fairytale. He had shared in an interview back in 2012 with The Weekly, “ My whole life has been the real deal rags-to-riches story it’s manufactured, which is quite rare nowadays.”
Julia also talked about how Ali was the one, and things had to happen in their own time. She went on to say, “ if we’d married when I was 18 I reckon we’d have killed each other by now!” She also said that after realizing Ali was her soulmate, she moved from her home in London to Birmingham-just meters down the road from where Ali was living with his kids and his now ex-wife. They also shared how they were going to have a real Hollywood wedding, but due to Ali's schedule, they had to fly from Hawaii to Vegas and get married there with no family and just two of them.
Ali recalled, “ it was the biggest, naffest wedding you could possibly think of. We drove down the aisle in a pink 1964 Cadillac with dry ice everywhere, to the Elvis Hit I Can’t Help Falling In Love which UB40 did a cover of. I didn’t choose it, they had no idea who I was! It was very rock and roll.”
Altogether Ali is a father of a total of eight children; Louis and Drew with his wife, Julia and Ali Junior, Max, Kibbie, Jack, Indica, and Kaya with his ex-wife. Ali has said that all his children love music. His son, Drew, plays guitar, and they’re all into their own styles, thinking that Michael Jackson was ridiculous. With all the children together and his cats, his house is a busy place, and he has shared that he hides in his wife’s office to write songs.
