Carly Waddell Previous Married Life With Evan Bass
Carly Waddell was in a married relationship with the businessman Evan Bass. While still in marriage, they welcomed two children together, Isabella “Bella” Evelyn Bass and Charles Wolfe Bass.
Carly’s ex-husband, Evan Bass, is an American former reality TV show contestant and businessman. He is best known for having participated in the show The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.
Waddell and Bass got engaged in 2017 and then married on June 17, 2017, in Mexico. However, after being together for a few years, they announced their divorce in December 2020.
However, they still seem to have been in a link as their divorce is also not officiated. And after her estranged husband’s caring nature during Waddell’s recent emergency hospital rush, Waddell’s brother, Zak Waddell, exclusively told Us Weekly on June 15 about his sister’s love life, “Don’t close the chapter on this live story yet.” But, he added, “There are pages still to be written.”
Their love life is one of the notable even among the celebrities. Evan re-proposed to Carly Waddell with her dream engagement ring in August 2017. They featured on Bachelor in Paradise after returning from their wedding. And at the time of their union on the show, Waddell’s engagement ring immediately captured the viewers' attention.
Bass originally got down on one knee and popped the question to Waddell with a light pink-colored pear-shaped diamond in September of 2016. However, after their marriage featuring in the Bachelor show, Bass wanted his bride to be happy and switched the rings, so he got down on his knees and re-proposed with that ring.
Waddell shared the moment on her Instagram account, writing:
“Thank you so much @neillanejewelry for my engagement ring and our wedding rings! We got to spend a few hours with Neil and his amazing team looking though the most stunning rings I’ve EVER seen! Can’t wait for y’all to watch us exchange these rings tonight.”
The pair tied the knot in June of 2017 in an intimate ceremony officiated by the show Bachelor in Paradise’s host, Chris Harrison, at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The couple was joined by numerous fellow Bachelor Nation alums, including Jade Roper (bridesmaid) and Tanner Tolbert, Wells Adams (groomsman), Whitney Bischoff, Ricky Angel, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth, Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi, sisters Emily and Haley Ferguson, Ashley Ianconetti, and Jared Haibon. Waddell donned a unique and feminine strapless fit-and-flare nude gown with intricate white embroidery for the big day, a piece created by Israeli designer Idan Cohen.
In the first year of their marriage, things changed in a better way for them as one of the main reasons became the welcoming of their baby girl together named Isabella Evelyn Bass. And on Father’s Day of 2018, the couple exclusively shared their life after a year.
For Carly, she noticed the changes after Evan adjusted well to having a baby girl around the house. At the same time, he is the father to three boys, Ensley, Liam, and Nathan Bass, from a previous relationship. Moreover, the overall family environment was so happy and cheerful for them, and they were strengthening their family bonds as time passes.
However, they appear to have separated from each other at the moment. But since their divorce is not officiated, reconciliation is possible for the couple and the whole family.
She And Her Husband Evan Bass Are Separated
The pair Carly and Evan separated after three years of marriage. They announced it through a press release to TODAY in December of 2020:
“We have made the difficult decision to separate. We will always cherish our time together and continue to have the utmost respect for one another as we focus on what’s best for the future of our family. We greatly appreciate everyone’s love and support and kindly ask that you please respect our family’s privacy as we navigate through this.”

In a YouTube video on January 2021, Carly told her daughter while trying on dresses from her time on the franchise Bachelor, “I got a ring when I got this dress – well, actually, it’s a different one because I returned one and switched it – but one day you’re gonna get it.” She added, “I’m gonna give that ring to you. Isn’t that cool? I don’t need it anymore.”
Before this video, Carly even gave a subtle message to her viewers on the divorce announcement on YouTube wearing a sweater that had the phrase “over it, don’t care.” The post, part of a home tour, was captioned on Instagram: “Addressing rumors and upstairs home tour. Saging my home and spreading positivity.”
In the video, she also talked more about her divorce, stating they decided to part ways the day after Thanksgiving and had been going to therapy together for years. But we still have yet to confirm their divorce.
