Destiny Chukunyere is steps away from winning the prestigious European song contest with the final set for 22 May 2021. She will be representing her country, Malta, at Rotterdam Ahoy when she competes with other participants from 25 European countries for the top prize. The 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is set to be held in Rotterdam, Ahoy.
While the running order for the competitors was being set with a random draw, it seems that Destiny will be the 6th on stage to sing Je Me Casse at the competition. Taking it to her social media, Destiny said she was “thrilled to perform Je Me Casse in front of millions of people, and happy to deliver the “#empowerment” message to all the audiences out there."
Destiny is passionate when it comes to music. Moreover, she is a determined one to fight back if any criticism is made to her. She was previously made a social media stir because of the short, neon pink outfit that she wore. But Destiny’s response was defiant and confident: “I feel beautiful.”

On the other hand, the running order made Destiny’s manager, Howard Keith Debono, hit out at Eurovision as, according to him, it gives Malta a huge disadvantage. Ellul talked of how over 12,000 people were out of work, and even more, it is hard for the people involved in arts to forward their success in their career. And it may lead Destiny to a predicament to not be able to earn money.

Destiny Chukunyere was born on 29 August 2002 in Birkirkara, Malta, to Ndubisi Chukunyere, a former Nigerian footballer, and Alexia (Sciberras). Her father is of Igbo Nigerian ethnicity, whereas her mother is Maltese, which makes Destiny a mixed ethnicity. Destiny lives in Birkirkara and currently attends a secondary school in Hamrun. As of 2020, Destiny is currently 18 years old. She has two younger siblings; a sister named Melody and brother Isaiah.
