Drake Bell is an American actor, singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known for his starring role in Drake & Josh. He also appeared on the recurring sketch Totally Kyle on the Nickelodeon show The Amanda Show. As a singer, he released his debut album Telegraph in 2005. But, now the star seems to be the hot topic in a strange controversy of child endangerment charges.
Drake Bell Charged With An Attempted Child Endangerment
Drake Bell has pleaded not guilty to an allegation against him surfaced of endangering a child in Ohio.
According to Cuyahoga County court records, Bell was charged with attempted endangering of a child, which is a fourth-degree felony charge, as well as disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a misdemeanor.
On 3 June 2021, Bell posted $2,500 for release from the jail and ordered a DNA specimen.
Prosecutors said Bell established a relationship with the 15-year-old Canadian girl several years ago, and she attended his concert at a Cleveland nightclub, the Odeon Concert Club, in December 2017. While there, Bell “violated his duty of care and, in doing so, created a risk of harm to the victim,” the prosecutors’ office said.
Bell allegedly sent the teen “inappropriate messages on social media” for “months leading up to the concert.” WJW-TV in Cleveland reported that the teen filed a report of the allegations at a Canadian police department in October 2018.
Drake is next set to appear in court on 23 June 2021.
Ian Friedman, the attorney representing Bell, said in a statement to CBS News that “all facts will be revealed in the courtroom” and that they would not be making additional comments at this time. Meanwhile, Bell has not made a public statement about the case.
Net Worth And Career Of Drake Bell
With a number of works in his professional career, Drake Bell has earned a fortune of wealth. He has an estimated net worth of $600 thousand to $700 thousand as of 2021. Most of his wealth comes from his television acting career, following up with his voice acting for Spiderman, appearing in TV shows and commercials, and also releasing albums in his music career.
While he was one of the biggest stars with a relatively high amount of wealth, it only amounts to $600 thousand. Apparently, this is because, in February 2014, he filed for bankruptcy in California, claiming to be $581,000 thousand in debt. Additionally, TMZ reported that his income was only $2,820 a month, but his outgoings totaled a huge $18,771.
As mentioned before, Drake is best known for his role on Drake & Josh, but he had also had several minor roles leading up to that point. He had appeared in shows such as Seinfeld, Home Improvement, and The Amanda Show, all before he landed his own starring role.

However, he was not well-known until his time on Drake & Josh. While the show only aired for 4 years between 2004 and 2007, it turned Drake Bell into a household name. Then he further utilized his own popularity and fame to get guest spots in all of the other popular Nickelodeon programs such Zoey 101 and Icarly, which introduced him to larger audiences.
Some TV shows and movies he has made his appearances on include A Fairly Odd Christmas, All That, Sam & Cat, The Pretender, Caroline in the City, College, Yours, Mine & Ours, American Stan, Jerry Maguire, High Fidelity, Drifting School, and many more.
With his widespread popularity on the network, he was able to star in a couple of straight to DVD Nickelodeon movies. Thus, he had successfully endeared himself to the network, which made him a lot of money, which helped him produce some of his recordings. Ultimately, he also stepped into the music industry and has released a number of albums, including It’s Only Time, Honest, A Remainder, and more.
Having a wide range of talents within his own self, Drake did some good marketing for his own benefit. In addition, his ability to act, produce albums and tour, and return to voice act in video games and cartoons make him good in several places. With that said, Drake has been a dedicated, hard worker who climbed up to the spotlight with his love and passion for work. However, after the recent allegations against him made some headlines, it may be even harder for him to gain back his positive popularity again.
Who Is Drake Bell? Height
Drake Bell was born on 27 June 1986 in Santa Ana, California, USA, to parents Robin Dodson and Robert Bell as Jared Drake Bell. He has English, Scottish, and Swedish ancestry.
However, he changed his name to Drake Campana (Campana is the Spanish word for Bell) in 2020, as Drake seems to have moved to Mexico following a Spanish music career and changing his name. He took to Instagram to share his Mexican ID sporting his new name.
He also took to his Twitter on 17 November 2019 to say he would no longer be speaking English. He tweeted, “mis redes socials ahora solo estaran en espanol, no mas ingles,” which – when translated into English – means: “My social networks will now only be in Spanish, no more English.” This post comes after he performed “Cielito Lindo” at the 2019 Telehit Awards.
It’s unclear why Drake has made the move to sing and post exclusively in Spanish, but he reportedly has a huge Latin fanbase. In a 2020 interview with Esquire Mexico, Drake said: “Growing up in Southern California, there has always been a Mexican influence, especially where I grew up, which is Orange County, so I always kept in mind. I went all the time and when I started doing tours, I got to know places that I fell in love with.”
He continued: “I wanted to do something for the fans of Mexico, with Latin rhythms and I wanted to do something like what I have heard on my tours and visits to Mexico. I love writing in Spanish, it is a beautiful language.”
The singer stands at the height of 5 ft 8.5 in or 1.74 m and has a decent weight.
