Patricia Dorsey was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2007, and her husband has previously spoken about her difficulty living with the disease.
Engelbert said on Loose Women in 2017, "There is anger there. She is missing so much of what I’m doing and enjoying. I feel guilty about it."
Patricia's death came just days after Engelbert asked his fans to pray for his wife’s illness to improve.
Engelbert Humperdinck Relationship With Late-Wife Patricia Healey
Engelbert Humperdinck was married to Patricia Healey in 1964. The couple has four children Louise, Jason, Brad, and Scott. In 1977, Kathy Jetter gave birth to Humperdinck's daughter, Jennifer.
Talking about the romantic encounter, Engelbert Humperdinck had set an eye for Patricia Healey when Patricia was 18-years-old. It was at a party, and he asked her for a dance, and they dance together. The very next day, he asked her out date ever since they were dating.
Patricia was by his side when he got tuberculosis in 1961 and was hospitalized with the disease. It was that brush with death that persuaded Engelbert to change his name from Arnold George Dorsey, and in 1964 he and Patricia tied the knot.

While Engelbert traveled the world and sold millions of records, his devoted wife was at home raising their four children - Louise, Jason, Brad, and Scott.
However, Humperdinck and Healey have also had their fair share of relationship setbacks. At a point in his career, the singer had engaged in several affairs. He had an extramarital affair with Kathy Jetter in 1977, and she has giving birth to a daughter, Jennifer.
It had been a tight strain on their love, but the couples had pulled themselves through.
Unfortunately, Healey had reportedly been diagnosed with Alzheimer's over the years. Though she was getting the best treatment in Los Angeles, it had been a battle for Humperdinck since his wife had not spoken in three years.
After a blissful career run and over five decades together, their love continues to remain a lovely sight to behold.
