Eventually, he was promoted as a commentator (play-by-play) of the ESPN's MLB Stats Broadcast of the Home Run Derby and Wild Card- a position that Jason still holds. As an ESPN announcer, Jason earns an annual salary averaging $103,500; whereas, his job as a sports announcer pays him nearly $75,000 per year.

Jason was born on 9 September 1983 (age: 36) in Chicago to parents: Sue and Rob Benetti. He was delivered ten weeks earlier than the due date. Jason's premature delivery had decreased his survival changes significantly, even to the point that his family was not sure if he would make it out of the hospital alive.
Though Jason overcame the odds, he was eventually diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a type of neurological disorder that affects the movement of muscles and physical balance. As a result, he had to undergo multiple surgeries, including a heel cord surgery, eye surgery, and even a hamstring surgery.
Despite his disability, Jason didn't abandon his education. He earned bachelor's degrees in psychology, economics, and broadcast journalism from Syracuse University in New York in 2005. Later, he pursued a J.D. and received it from the Wake Forest School of Law circa 2011.
Personal Life: Still Dating Out Of Town Girlfriend?
Jason Benetti has always enjoyed solitude in his personal life and doesn't discuss much of it on social media. However, there are was one instance when the sportscaster had shared vital information regarding his love life.
Back on 1 August 2016, Jason was asked on Twitter if he had a girlfriend who lived out of town. In response, Jason revealed his girlfriend's name as Alberta and her residential city as Vancouver. However, Jason didn't give any more details about the said girlfriend and also didn't mention if he ever intended to make Alberta his wife.
Further, the tweet was the only time Jason had opened up about his dating affair. He hasn't mentioned a hint of his love life ever since.
