Joanna Page Married Life With Husband James Thornton

Joanna Page got married to actor James Thornton in 2003 after meeting for the first time in the set of the David Copperfield series. They starred together in the series, which became the start of their relationship.

Her husband, James Thornton, is an actor best known for portraying John Barton on Emmerdale from 2009 to 2012. The 45-year-old actor is known to have starred alongside Gavin & Stacey’s co-star Ruth Jones in Stella. He is also known for his work in Holby City.

The couple together has four children now. They welcomed their first baby in 2013 and named her Eva. Then after two years, their second child, Kit, was born in 2015, and their third child, Noah, joined the family in 2016. Recently, the couple welcomed their fourth child, Boe Willow Russell, as a Christmas gift for their family.

The star had revealed about her family life during the lockdown and admitted that they constantly argued and even threatened to divorce each other. She told The Sun, “We went through a month of literally not saying a single word to each other. We came out of that a bit numb and deadened and desperate for anything we could get because we just argued so much.”

However, the actress shared a lot of parents might have found it difficult during the tricky time and said, “You’re with the children so much, and then at night-time they all just wanted to sleep in bed with us. When we managed to get them back to school that was a godsend because at least me and my husband could talk to each other and reunite and then I could fancy him.”

The star’s husband, James, had talked about meeting her and said, “ Jo came to see the play and we met up afterwards, I expected her to be really posh because of her accent in the costume drama.” He thought Joanne wouldn’t be interested in him and added, “I couldn’t believe it when she spoke to me and she had this really strong Welsh accent. We got on like a house on fire. I gave her a lift home and we sat outside her house for an hour talking – I was waiting for her to invite me in for coffee, and she was waiting for me to give her my number.”
