Katy Tur Welcomed Her Second Baby With Her Husband, Tony Dokoupil
PEOPLE exclusively confirmed, Katy Tur welcomed her second child, daughter Eloise Judy Bear Dokoupil, with her husband, Tony Dokoupil, on May 13 of 2021. Eloise joins 2-year-old brother Teddy and Dokoupil’s two kids from a previous marriage.
Tur and Dokoupil said in a statement that her contradictions had started the evening before “after a bowl of spicy noodle soup." “Though mom was screaming by dawn, dad was convinced it was the takeout,” they said in a statement. “When Mom got into the car without him and starting pounding the horn, Dad finally ran out, forgetting half the hospital supplies.” Tur added she doubled over and told the “first person she saw that she wanted an epidural” when they arrived at the hospital.
Tony put a hand on her back and tried to remind her that she hadn’t wanted the epidural yesterday. Katy brushed his hand away. She pointed out that she wasn’t in labor yesterday. Dad tried again and was shushed by a wise nurse who said, ‘We want you to go home in one piece.’
“After nearly 24 hours of labor. Eloise was here. She weighs 6 pounds, has strawberry blonde hair, and is rarely quiet. She fits right in,” they said in a statement.
Katy Tur Married Life With Husband Tony Dokoupil
Katy Tur tied the knot with Tony Dokoupil in October 2017 in a secret and intimate wedding ceremony. They later held a lavish reception for their friends and family. Dokoupil is best known as the host of CBS This Morning, a popular morning news show. He has also written several pieces for publications such as Newsweek and The Daily Beast.
The couple welcomed their first child together, son Teddy, in early 2019. Tur is also a stepmother to Dokoupil’s two children from a previous relationship. After the birth of their second child, Eloise, in May 2021, together, they are parents to four children.

Page Six says Tur and Dokoupil met in the make-up room back when he was at MSNBC. And later, they got married in the most secretive way possible in October 2017.
The pair shared to PEOPLE in April 2020 the time they had to make a shift for sharing the firsthand accounts of the recent global pandemic. The couple was among the people working during the pandemic from home as they both are television news anchors, where Tur fronts MSNBC Live daily at 2 p.m. At the same time, Dokoupil is a co-host of CBS This Morning.
The journalists had set up a makeshift studio in their basement, where they each anchored to their daily shows and served as each other’s anchor assistants.
During the couple's interview with PEOPLE, they shared about the experience they had as a people to bring the updated news on the pandemic from home while raising a toddler, Teddy. The pair talked of the hardships they had to go through. Each being from different daily shows had to manage time for meals, family, and sleep to deliver the news on their respective show.
