Professional Dancer, Oti Mabuse is confirmed to a judge on the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice replacing John Barrowman. The news of her being a judge on the show comes after John Barrowman was confirmed to not return on the ITV Skating show and had announced his plans to instead host for the All Star Musicals Specials.
She will be joining Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo as judges and the filming is set to start next month. She has shared her excitement and said, “As a professional dancer I have always had so much respect for the skating professionals on Dancing On Ice. It is an exceptional skill that is also so beautiful to watch. I’m feeling really enthusiastic about joining the panel alongside the legendary Torvill and Dean and Ashley Banjo.”
She added, “I can’t wait to see the celebrities thrive as they learn how to ice-skate and to champion the professional skaters as they celebrate incredible choreography. Having been on both sides of the table, I know a little bit about how they’ll be feeling. It’s more than an honour and I already can’t wait to join the family.”

Oti Mabuse met her husband, Marius Lepure, as dance partners when she turned professional dancer from South Africa to Germany. They won the second position in the World Latin Championships together and started dating and got married in 2014. They both fell in love with each other as they danced together and went onto appear on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 during a group dance.
Her husband, Marius Lepure is a Romanian dancer and has been dancing since the age of 12. He has participated in the show Let’s Dance in 2014 and 2015. Together with Otis, he has compted in German National Show Dance Championships and World Latin Championships.
He proposed Otis on his birthday and Oti has shared about that say on her instagram writing, “Three years ago today this wonderful crazy man was annoying the life out of me because he was acting nervous (and yes I let him know I was annoyed). But it was only because he was nervous as he was going to propose.”
The two-time Strictly champion Oti was also a judge in The Masked Dancer and had shared her sentiment of joining the show saying, “I’m a huge fan of The Masked Singer and I loved the US Masked Dancer so I just can’t wait to start on this show.” Oti was confirmed to be a judge on the show replacing Rita Ora.
She had performed and showcased their fancy footwork at Powderham Castle in Devon and Hampton Court Palace in London with her husband, Marius Lepure.
She has also shared about her baby plans with Fabulous Magazine and confessed how she’s not ready to be a mother and said, “One day we’ll probably wake up and be like, ‘It’s time!’. At some point I’ll want to give my nieces a few cousins, but it’s just not necessary at the moment.”
She added, “I was a baby for the past five years in this country and now I’m learning how to walk on my own. For now, I’m seeing how far I can take my career.”
