She added that the prognosis was good, thankfully, and the couple helped each other through their challenges as Robin also had a journey with cancer. She said that it was her turn now to be there for her like she was there for her, so she announced that she would be taking a time to time break from GMA to be with Amber in her chemotherapy.
Robin concluded her video by stating that Everybody had something like her mama said and added that she knew many people were facing cancer. For those people, she said that they were in her prayers and hoped to be in theirs too.
Robin Roberts Dating Life With Partner Amber Laign
Robin Roberts first met her partner, Amber Laign, on a blind date set up by their mutual friends. However, their dating remained secret until Robin came out as gay in 2013. Amber had shared about their first meeting on a blind date in 2005 via her Instagram, celebrating their anniversary in 2020. She explained that having Robin by her side was a gift and mentioned Robin's kindest heart and her beautiful soul.

She shared that they spent more time together that year than they had in the previous 15 years together.
