Samantha Geimer is the same girl who accused the Polish film producer, Roman Polanski of rape, back in 1977. She was thirteen years old when she came with the accusations.

Roman, who was an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, had denied the allegations that Samantha made. However, he did not rejoice the same grace as before as he turned to a convicted fugitive from a well-known film producer.

Roman was pleaded guilty of the rape in 1979, but he fled before sentencing. He now resides in France and still makes the film through which he acquires the net worth of $45 million.

Samantha herself had mentioned that she forgave Roman Polanski for his crimes and did not think that he should face further jail period.

Samantha and Roman first met on 13 February 1977 when the director asked her mother if he could take her (Samantha) picture for French Vogue. After nearly a week, they went up the hill where he asked Samantha to pose topless.

After a month, on 10 March 1977, Roman appeared for the second time at Samantha's home for the second session of the photoshoot. Samantha revealed that they drove to Jack Nicholson's house, where Roman held her champagne and asked for a topless pose again.

Later, Roman persuaded her to go to the Jacuzzi and bedroom, where he put his mouth on her vagina. Then, he started having intercourse with her both vaginal and anal. In between the incident, there was a knock on the door by Roman's girlfriend, Anjelica Huston.

The incident did not remain silent. It went to all crooks and corners of her house to the ears of her ex-boyfriend. And the next day, Roman got arrested, but he denied the terms and mentioned that their sexual intercourse was consensual. He got convicted to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse, after which he served 42 days in a California jail.

After a year in 1978, he fled to France, where he lives now.

Fifteen years later, in 1993, the case reopened, and he was pleaded guilty. As per the reports, Roman agreed to pay $500,000 to the Samantha, but it's not clear whether the compensation reached the victim or not. Although Samantha and Roman reached the settlement of the case, the terms of the deal were not made public.

To this date, there is an arrest warrant against Roman Polanski, and 1977's rape case is still pending.

Samantha Wanted Prosecutors To Release The Transcript

Samantha had called a petition with DA's office to act on her 1977's case; however, they refused. Later, she asked the prosecutors to release the transcript of a former DA officer, Roger Gunson's testimony, which was sealed.

She also expressed her enragement and wrote a letter to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, mentioning that the authorities never protected her. Instead, they used the crimes of 1977 to further their own careers.

She also mentioned being fed up with the hectic pressure of the case as the boot got filled by women, referring to Michele Hanisee, Deputy district attorney. She wrote that there is a special place in hell for women who do not help other women.
