The 49-year-old actor Sid Owen has announced the good news of him becoming a dad for the first time in his life when he shared a picture of himself in scrubs kissing his fiancee Victoria. The actor thanked his partner Victoria for giving birth yesterday which is a year after she suffered a miscarriage.
Sid announced the wonderful news writing, "Been a long a day. But. Can I say. I love you Victoria. Thank you for our baby." Many fans and friends of the star congratulated him under the post as his former co-star Dean Gaffney wrote, "Congrats brother." while Patsy Palmer commented, "Congratulations to you all."
Danniella Westbrook added, "Congratulations Daddy, and well done Victoria"
The couple had shared last year about how devastated they were when Vicotria suffered a miscarriage and she was so surprised with so much blood pouring when she reached the hospital they used a probe and said to her that she lost the baby and there was nothing there. She shared, "I felt so shocked and numb. I was bleeding for days after and it was bewildering, I didn't know what to do with myself."
The actor added how the incident solidified their wanting to have a baby and said, "I realized I wanted to marry her. Our dedication to each other was never an issue and we did not leave each other's side. We then decided we would try IVF if- necessary, so it was a miracle we got it pregnant so quickly naturally. We are so thankful."

Sid Owen started dating Victoria Shores when they first met at a party more than 20 years ago. But they broke up after a year and now they reunited after 23 years in August 2021 and he took the opportunity to propose her. Vicotria had shared with The Mirror about their first encounter saying, "It was a big party. Kate Moss was there, John Gaillano, Noel Gallagher, Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger. Sid doesn't remember how we met, but I do. I remember standing in the kitchen and having a glass of wine. He walked in and I thought he had a cheeky smile."
After their split, Vicotria had married another man and share two children with him. However, the actor found her again and he had announced about he was going to be a dad in January 2022 saying, "I'm glad I am doing it now rather in my 20s, I would have been a rubbish dad then. Vic wants to lose her weight and we want the baby at the wedding - just sat in a pram looking pretty."
Sid Owen had been engaged two times in the past. He was engaged to dancer Carty Hubbard in 2000 and to TV host Polly Parsons. He broke up with Polly in 2012 after six years of dating.
