The British singer, Steve Hackett has announced his latest tour the Foxtrot At 50 + Hackett Highlights UK Tour for 2022. The tour starts on 9 September in Swansea and wraps up on 12 October at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo in London. Hackett said, “I think ‘Foxtrot’ was a terrific achievement for Genesis at that time. I think there is not one weak track on the album, they all have their strong points and I’m really looking forward to doing the whole album live.”
The guitarist added, “We were a young, struggling band at that time. By the time we were doing ‘Foxtrot,’ the band was becoming more ambitious. ‘Foxtrot’ is a must for fans of the early Genesis work. Fifty years ago? it doesn’t feel like those ideas are fifty years old because it was genre-defining, rather than following trends. It still sounds current, now.”
The show will include Hackett playing other Genesis favorites and his songs from an extensive solo catalog. His tour dates are as follows:

I’m often aware of my own limitations when I’m writing a melody. Like one recently that went unreleased. I said, ‘I’ve got a bluesy melody for the verse here. I suspect you could come up with something better.’ Straight away, she came up with something very melodic, and it’s actually a thrill to see it work.”
