The world-famous American Rapper Talib Kweli has released many songs and albums that are solo as well as collaborated. He has two children from his two previous relationships. He is fighting with his wife, DJ Eque, in a divorce battle where he conflicts on the date presented on the divorce paper.
Let's find complete information about his divorce.
Talib Kweli Fights Divorce Battle With Wife DJ Eque
After more than ten years, world-famous Rapper Talib Kweli and his wife, Cynthia Greene, also known as DJ Eque, are divorcing. His wife, Eque, filed for divorce on 19th February as per TMZ.
Talib Kweli and DJ Eque are deeply committed to the ongoing divorce fight; whatever the judge decides will greatly impact who gets what.
Talib’s major issue is the date when they got separated, as he claims they broke up after he left the house on 20 October 2015, which TMZ has reported as per a new legal document.
The problem is... Kweli says that Eque claimed that 10 July 2020 was the date of separation. So why is dating so smelly? He thinks she is trying to make the marriage look longer in order to get more money and property from the divorce.
According to Vlad TV, Kweli gave the statement saying he has not seen her wife for years,
“Eque and I have been separated since 2015. We haven't lived in the same house or even seen each other since 2015,"
He moved to New York because she was very aggressive and violent against him. After moving to New York, he said he has never visited marriage again, stopped talking to her, had no further sexual relations, has not exchanged birthday anniversary, sent gifts, has not shared meals, and shared couple’s house. Due to this, he believed that was a clear indication of separation.
He affirms that because of her controversial personality, an unhealthy and stuffy environment was created. He claims that she was allowed to stay in one of his homes in LA and got financial support for more than five years from him.

In addition, Kweli says he had never charged rent and even gave the profit about $30,000 when the house was sold, hoping that money would help her move.
He says he agreed to give her $2000 per month when Eque inquired for the spouse’s support, but he wanted the judge to know about the actual separation date before moving forward with the rest of the divorce.
And the hearing was held in November, where Talib fights Eque in a divorce battle.

One of the witnesses said,
”They were having a party in a private room. When his wife saw him chatting and being friendly with other women, she flew off the handle. She went at him and they were almost wrestling before they fell back on a table, smashing some glasses/ Security asked them to leave, and they carried on the argument as they got into their car.”
Even though they were married for years, they don’t have any children together.
