Since making his debut in NBA over a decade ago, Jrue Holiday has undergone a massive change in his life. Now, he is a valuable player the New Orleans' team with a multi-million dollar contract on his hand.
Further, he has succeeded in finding a lovely wife and has even started a family with her. But, he was once on the verge of losing both his wife and child. Fortunately for Jrue, his family remains intact.
Married Life With Former Soccer Star Wife, Daughter
Jrue Holiday has been a married man for many years now. He first met his wife, Lauren Holiday- former soccer player for the US national team until 2015- while at UCLA. Jrue was a basketball player for the university, while Lauren played soccer.
The couple soon started dating and eventually got married in 2013. The marriage was going strong between until a tragedy struck the duo in 2016. Lauren- who was pregnant with their first child at the time- got diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Due to the tumor, it was unsure if the baby would survive. However, Lauren gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Jrue Tyler Holiday around October 2016. After six weeks of the delivery, she also went through brain surgery and won her battle against the tumor too.

During his wife's pregnancy and recovery, Jrue remained by her side and had even taken an indefinite leave from his NBA team to support his wife. As of now, Jrue and his wife Lauren are content with their family of three.
Jrue Holiday's NBA Stats
The athlete of height six feet three inches (1.90 m) and weigh 205 pounds got his primary education from the Campbell Hall School in Los Angeles. He later earned his college education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Jrue was first selected in the 2009-10 NBA draft by Philadelphia 76ers and played for the team for four seasons until the 2012-13 season. Then, he was transferred to New Orleans Pelicans and had been playing for the team ever since.

Up until the end of the 2019-20 season, Jrue had played 705 games in the NBA league and started in 632 of those. He also had the stats of 6.3 field goals made per game along with 1.3 3-Point field goals per game.
Jrue also had a constant performance of 6.4 assists per game as well as 0.5 and 1.5 blocks and steals per game, respectively. The star basketball player had even succeeded in scoring an average of 15.8 points per game.
Extended Contract With New Orleans Pelicans, Salary Info
American basketball player Jrue had earlier renewed his contract with New Orleans Pelicans in 2017. The extended contract would pay him nearly $132 million over the course of five years, with a guaranteed amount of $128 million.
The contract also offered him a base salary of $24,921,667 in the 2017-18 season, $25,396,111 in 2018-19, $26,131,111 in 2019-20, $25,396,111 in 2021-22, and $26,285,000 in 2022-23.
Multiple Injuries In Last Two Years
An athlete goes through many injuries during his career, and Jrue hasn't been an exception.
The NBA star who was born on 12 June 1990 (age: 29) in Los Angeles, California, has been prone to injury in the last few years. Due to that, he has even missed a few games. Back in March 2019, he suffered an abdominal strain. Later, in October 2019, Jrue went down with a knee injury.
Likewise, 2020 hasn't been a very successful year for Jrue as he suffered two elbow injuries on 5th and 21st January- which caused him to miss seven matches in a row. Also, on 25 January, he experienced soreness in his left knee, but the injury didn't turn out to be very threatening.
