Lazar Dukic was a Serbian CrossFit athlete who passed away at the age of 28 during the CrossFit Games swimming event in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday. The CrossFit Games confirmed that Lazar died during the swimming portion at Marine Creek Lake on 08 August 2024, Thursday. His identity was not released immediately as police told reporters that, his identity would released after the Tarrant County Medical Examiner spoke with the competitor's family.
Later, Tarrant County Medical Examiner confirmed that he was a Dukic but the exact cause of death is still not revealed. The Serbian CrossFit athlete went missing in the final stretch of the swim about 100 m from the finish line during event 1 of the 2024 CrossFit Games. Later, news came out that, he lost his life.
