Similarly, Gunner's technical director Edu mentioned that he knows Willian very well as they spent some years together in the Brazilian team as a player and a coach. He said that he followed the 32-year-old footballer when he played his career for Stamford Bridge.

Similarly, talking about his three-year contract with The Gunners, Willians mentioned, 'I decided [to join] because Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have a new project with Mikel Arteta.'
