Well, Annie Dookhan was one of the alleged culprits, who testified falsifying the evidence that affected up to 34,000 cases. She got charged after she admitted falsifying reports and visually identifying samples without testing.
She served three years for obstruction of justice and evidence tampering and got released on parole in April 2016.

Annie Dookhan was one of the fastest and efficient employees at the Hinton lab, where she served for nine years. Hinton Lab was run by the Massachusetts Department of Health's Office of Human Services initially.
Later, in 2011, the Massachusetts General Court transferred control of the lab to the Massachusetts State Police forensics unit.
• Annie Was Complained Of Falsifying The Tests
As per the reports, Annie had tested 95 samples without properly signing them, which remained undetected for a long period. Annie had been the key issue of several complaints filed claiming her wrong actions in the lab. Later, she got suspended for the actions. However, she was allowed to continue testifying in court until February 2012. She resigned from the Hinton Lab in March 2012.
• Arrested For Felony Charges
While authorities carried out the investigations, she admitted that she had been doing 'dry-labbing,' testing drug just by looking.

Annie was then arrested with the charges of obstruction of justice and falsification of academic records. She got sentenced for three years. Later, in April 2016, the court granted her parole and released her from the prison.
• April 2017 - Dismissal Of Drug Cases
Later, in April 2017, prosecutors of Boston counties announced that they would dismiss the drug cases of 21,587, which were affected by Annie's misconduct, one of the largest convictions in US History. As of now, Annie Dookhan has cleared all her misconduct records and has moved on with her life.

Annie Dookhan is a convicted felon, who worked at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Drug of Abuse lab previously. She was born as Annie Sadiyya Khan in 1977 in San Fernando and is currently 44 years old.
