Moreover, Landis gained headlines for an ill-considered juvenile experiment called The Carney Landis Experiment where he recruited fellow graduate students to find repetitive patterns in facial expressions. He even invited his subjects to stick their hand in a bucket full of live frogs and electrical wires without looking. He also put a live mouse in the subject’s left hand and a knife in the other to get his desired expressions.
