The year 2020 has lost several gems in a row, and Orson Bean is one of them.
American actor and comedian Orson Bean, who most recently appeared on Grace and Frankie in an episode 'The Scent,' has died at the age of 91 on Friday night.
According to his friends who gathered at the scene, Orson's cause of death was traffic collision. He was crossing the street when two cars struck him, resulting in the accident. The second one hit him fatally.
The sources mentioned Bean was allegedly crossing the streets in Venice Friday when he was collided with the car and died at the spot. The driver remained intact at the scene, and a small crowd was spotted holding each other.
Police are currently investigating the scene. One of the officers of the Los Angeles Police Department, Tony Im says that police were called to the 700 blocks of Venice Boulevard around 7:35 PM, where the incident happened.
LA Police Department Captain Brian Wending says:
"The car coming westbound did not see him and clipped him and he went down. A second vehicle was coming up, was distracted by people trying to slow him down and then looked up and then a second traffic collision occurred and that one was fatal."
He was married to American actress Alley Mills for 27 years (1993 to 2020, to be precise), and according to the witnesses, his wife Alley was also at the scene.

Reportedly, Bean was trying to cross the busy street of Venice to reach his wife at the Pacific Resident Theatre, where his wife was working.

Bean was one of the notable faces during the '60s to '80s, where he appeared in several TV game shows. He was also the memorable panelists of CBS' To Tell the Truth, the game show whose history dates back to 1956.
