Toni Storm had her fans shocked and sad by her departure from WWE as it was reported by WWE that Toni had requested her release from WWE and they had granted it.
According to Dave Meltzer, more information was out about her release and her reason for her requesting. He shared, “As far as her reasons and why she left, the only thing I heard was, you know, burnout, especially.”
“There’s probably a 90 day non complete involved...whether she can go to AEW and that was part of the deal that you can’t go there, I don’t know,” he added.
However, there is no details from Storm’s side and we can’t conclude what really happened unless she reveals more information.
The 26 year old Storm was elevated to Smackdown Women’s Title picture with current champion Charlotte Flair. She was also set to have match in a three way against Flair and Sasha Banks in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday night.
However, it was reported on Wednesday that Toni Storm requested her release from WWE and wasn’t fired from the company.

I have a newfound appreciation....obviously, I have an undying respect for this industry, it's what I've been doing my whole life, but now I have so much respect for what people do up here. It really is top-notch quality. I'm putting everything into bettering myself and showing I can hang here. Mentally, I'm in a whole different ballgame. I have to get my A-game, not that I haven’t been on my A-game, but it’s new fresh, exciting.”
Toni then stated her issues with her main rooster run and said, “It’s the worst because you don’t know. Obviously, wrestling is so unpredictable. Next week, you could be main eventing and winning a title and everything could be happening.... or, nothing. You don’t know. It's show business. When you’re stuck in catering, it’S not a good feeling, sitting there and waiting for your shot or your big break. ‘When am I next? What’s happening’ then when stuff starts happening, I'm still like (deep breath).”
Toni Storm is considered one of the best performers in the world and respected for her in-rings skills. She was signed to a WWE UK contract in 2020.
