American televangelist and TV show host Jim Bakker rose to fame co-hosting the famous Christian show, The PTL Club, alongside his then-wife, Tammy Faye. At the time, Jim was considered an Assemblies of God minister, which garnered him a lot of fame among Christian devotees.
However, Jim's TV career faced a downfall after he got indulged in a sex scandal and was also convicted of fraud. As a result, the televangelist spent nearly six years from 1989 to 1995 in prison and had to wait for nearly a decade more to make his television comeback.
Jim eventually reappeared on the small screen; a self-titled show called The Jim Bakker Show. The show, although aired for three seasons, could not bring back Jim's glory days of the '70s and '80s.
