The mother-actress, Kate, recently sat down for a talk on the US’s show Live With Kelly and Ryan. During the exchange of conversations, Kate expressed quite sadly when talking about not seeing her daughter for two years. She said,
“I haven’t seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn’t come to see me. Two years of not seeing your child is, to me, the most preposterous thought, it is ridic.”
Fortunately, after all those years, the mother and daughter finally reunited on July 23 in New York, where Lily lives.
While being grateful for the modern technology for making human lives sophisticated, Kate added: “Thank goodness for FaceTime and all that, but we’re both panicking that we’ll look really old to each other.”
The mother also gushed about her adorable little-big daughter, jokingly saying that she really “looks eight” despite her age is in her early twenties – through Lily apparently said, "I’m just worried that you’re going to think I look old but I’m going to look old."
Kate also seemed quite proud and cheerful when talking about her daughter, Lily’s “first movie last year,” as she explained that Lily’s “off and running” to her successful professional career in acting.
When Ryan asked Kate if she’d have any advice about following in her footsteps, she joked: “I said ‘Be a doctor,' and then this happened.”
