Sergia Vega started the video sharing his history with the band Deftones and shared how he joined the band replacing late Chi in 2009. He then received an email from their lawyer stating that their offer was withdrawn and wished him best. Sergio admitted his departure from the band was in early 2021 and since then he focused on his band Quicksand and his job as a producer and writer for other artists.
Sergio explained that he was mentioning all these to clear speculations about him selling his gear and quitting music altogether. He expressed his gratitude to Deftones' amazing fanbase and people who supported his other projects. He also mentioned seeing Deftones shirts at Quicksand shows land. He concluded his video expressing his appreciation for all the times spent together, writing, performing, being taken into world of Tones. He added that he learned a lot from them and they created a new sense of passion for music which he would always cherish and carry with him. He gave them credit for changing his life.
