The National Football Association (NFL) made its history by hiring the first black and youngest team president. The Washington Football team announced Jason Wright, a former running back as the NFL's first-ever black President on 17 August. And with the announcement, Wright will start his tenure as President and will report directly to Washington Football Team owner Dan Snyder.
The owner of the Washington Football Team, Dan Snyder, believes that Wright will 'set new standards' for inclusion within the organization. Talking about the new President of the team, Snyder stated:
"If I could custom design a leader for this important time in our history, it would be Jason. His experience as a former player, coupled with his business acumen, gives him a perspective that is unrivaled in the league."
Furthermore, he mentioned that the Washington Football team would not rest until they become a champion-caliber. And Jason Wright is the better option to strengthen the team, as per Snyder, since he has a record of helping business transform, financially and culturally. It is believed that it will be a better duo of Jason Wright and the team coach Ron Rivera.
Concerning his appointment as a President, Jason Wright mentioned that he is excited because the franchise is about action. Also, he believes in himself to transform and make a lasting impact on the organization.

Jason Wright, who recently got an appointment as the first black President of both the Washington Football Team and the whole NFL, played his career from San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, and Atlanta Falcons.
He played seven seasons in the National Football League, where he made the stats of five games started in total eighty games. He averaged the total rush attempts of 168 yards and made the rushing yards gain of 633 with five touchdowns, and averaged 3.8 goals.
