The entertainment industry has lost one of its stars. Kelly Preston, an American actress, died on 12 July 2020 leaving her legacy behind and breast cancer was the cause of her death.
A family representative of Preston confirmed her death with a statement that read:
"On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife, and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer."
The representative further mentioned:
"Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends. She was a bright, beautiful, and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time."
Similarly, John Travolta, Preston's husband shared a heartbreaking tribute to his late wife. He mentioned Preston lost her life at the age of 57 after a couple of years of battle with breast cancer. Also, he thanked all the doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, who was there to support Preston's treatment.

Preston's death news came out as a shocking one as she never openly mentioned her battle with breast cancer. And even on her last Instagram post, she appeared to have a jocund life while she wished a happy father's day.
Who Was Kelly Preston?
Kelly Preston was a talented American actress well-known for her four decades of career in the acting industry. Throughout the years, she made her prominence with the roles in several movies and tv shows including Hawaii Five-O (1980), Christine (1983), Tales from the Crypt (1990), Jerry Maguire (1996), Casino Jack (2010), Adopted (2013), CSI: Cyber (2016), Gotti (2018), and others.
She was born on 13 October 1963 in Honolulu, Hawaii, in the United States. The daughter of Linda Carlson, Administrator of a Mental Health Center, her father died when she was just three by drowning.
Late Preston was a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she studied theatre and drama.

Late Kelly Preston was married to her longterm husband John Travolta for nearly three decades. The couple dated for a few years after they first met in 1987. Then, after four years, Travolta made a sweet proposal at the Palace Hotel Restaurant in Gstaad, Switzerland in 1991 on the occasion of New Year's Eve and got engaged.
The lovebirds then had a couple of marriage ceremonies. On 5 September 1991, they had an unofficial ceremony officiated by a French Scientologist minister. Later, on 12 September 1991, Preston and Travolta officially tied a knot and started their family life together.

In the course of their longterm marital tie, Preston and Travolta welcomed three kids, namely, Jett Travolta (13 April 1992), Ella Bleu Travolta (3 April 2000), and Benjamin Hunter Kaleo Travolta (23 November 2010).
Her eldest child Jett, who was diagnosed with Kawasaki's Syndrome, resulted in allergies and asthma attacks. Jett Travolta eventually lost his life on 2 January 2009 due to seizures resulted from the same disease.
Kelly Preston, 57, had been living happily with her family amid the death of her child. However, she too had a health-crisis and diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite that, she never came up with her stories in public until her death by the same illness on 12 July 2020.
