On a regular day in January 2013, Parick Lee Mullins went to check the motor of his Stumpknocker boat while his wife went to visit her aunt in Sarasota. Even after she returned at around 6 pm, Pat wasn't home, and she started to search for him. Eventually, Leslie went to report a missing person.
After searching for a few days, the boat was found, but Pat wasn't there. However, Patrick's body was found eight days later. As per the autopsy report, he died with a shotgun wound on the right side of his head, and his body was weighed down by an anchor tied to a rope.
However, the report wasn't able to provide a conclusive result about his committed suicide or whether he was murdered, as the shotgun was never recovered. His wife never thought he had committed suicide and still has hope.
