Allison Mack Turned In Audio Tape Against Sex Cult Leader Keith Raniere About NXIVM Branding

Allison Mack provided federal prosecutors with an audiotape that helped convict sex cult leader Keith Raniere. In that audiotape, Raniere and Mack had a chilling discussion about how to brand his “slaves,” and prosecutors said in a memo on 21 June 2021.

Mack is due to be sentenced on 30 June for her role in the case of NXIVM, the management and leadership training program that proved to be a front for much more nefarious activities by Raniere and his followers. Mack pleaded guilty to racketeering charges in April 2019 and faced 14 to 17 ½ years behind bars.

According to the memo, which was filed in a federal court in Brooklyn, the audio provided by Mack served as crucial evidence to implicate Raniere as the architect of NXIVM’s “branding ceremony.”

In the recording, Allison and Keith discuss the branding process for several women involved in Raniere’s cult NXIVM. The two are heard discussing how the women should be branded, including strapping women to a table while the procedure took place.

Raniere was influential in the DOS program run through NXIVM. This was considered his ‘inner circle’ and operated off a slave, master relationship. Part of a ‘slaves’ initiation into DOS included giving incriminating evidence to ‘masters,’ often called ‘collateral’ that could be used as blackmail. It also included getting branded with what look like Raniere’s and Mack’s initials.

The memo also details Mack’s conduct as a ‘master’ on the cult, stating that she recruited several women into the group and encouraged them to provide nude photos and to have sex with Raniere.

“The government recognizes the seriousness of the offense conduct in this case which… caused extraordinary harm and pain to the victims in this case,” prosecutors said in the memo.

Mack agreed to plead guilty about a month before the trial was to begin. She told the government about how Raniere would ask for her help in the branding. She also gave information about crimes committed by others in the group, according to the memo, and provided emails and other documents.

Additionally, in the sentencing memo, federal prosecutors asked U.S. District Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis to give her a reduced sentence, citing the substantial cooperation she provided in prosecuting Raniere. Mack did not testify at Raniere’s trial, and her cooperation was not publicly announced.

Mack was arrested in Brooklyn by the FBI in April 2018 on charges of sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor conspiracy but was released a few days later on a $5 million bond and held under house arrest under the custody of her parents in California.

Later in April of 2019, Mack pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and racketeering charges and was scheduled for sentencing in September 2019.

The sentencing was delayed for Mack and scheduled for later June 2021.

Prior to filing divorce, actress, and devotee, Nicki defended the upstate cult, saying she wouldn’t trade her experiences in it “for anything.” Clyne admitted to being a part of DOS but defended the group. “We’re not denying that certain things took place,” Clyne, who’s never been charged with a crime, told CBS back in September 2020.

Federal prosecutors claimed in 2018 that Mack and Clyne were wed “at the behest of… Keith Raniere”. Some other sources also claimed that they got married on Raniere’s orders so that Clyne, a Canadian citizen, could remain in the USA to further aid in their cult.

However, they did not get to talk to each other since Mack was bailed for a home arrest. Clyne said, “Part of the conditions of her bail is that she can’t speak to anyone who is affiliated in any way with the case or NXIVM.” She added, “This has been the hardest, most humbling experience of my life,” at the time. Despite the serious charges against NXIVM, Clyne said she wouldn’t hesitate to continue being part of the group.

Mack and Clyne’s marriage, which took place in upstate New York and was witnessed by India Oxenberg, the daughter of actress Catherine Oxenberg, is supposedly a common tactic employed by Raniere to keep women living in the country illegally from being deported. After being flashed of their wrongdoings in front of the public, Mack filed for divorce after three years of marriage.
